Welcome to Calcavio ("Calcavio," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms," sometimes called our terms of use or terms and conditions) set the rules for using calcavio.com, our free calculators, and all related tools and content (together, the "Service"). In plain words, this is the user agreement between you and us. So by using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. And if you don't agree, please stop using the Service.

Your Agreement to These Terms of Service
These Terms of Service create a binding agreement between you and Calcavio. They apply every time you visit the site, use a calculator, or read our content. That's true whether or not you make an account. So when you use the Service, you confirm two things. First, you can form a legally binding contract. Second, you'll follow these Terms and all applicable laws.
This user agreement also works with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. We include those policies here by reference. Sometimes a specific tool posts its own extra terms. In that case, those terms apply on top of these. And if the two ever clash, the tool-specific terms win for that tool only.
Who We Are and What Calcavio Provides
Calcavio means "Calculate Smarter. Decide Better." We're a free platform with roughly 175 calculators across 10 categories. Our main focus is personal finance. That covers mortgages, loans, credit cards, auto, investment, retirement, tax, savings, insurance, and everyday money math. We also offer math, health, conversion, and other handy tools. Plus, we publish short explainer articles next to many calculators.
Every tool has one goal. It helps you grasp a concept and estimate a number fast. Behind the scenes, the calculators run standard, published formulas. They also use dated reference constants where it matters. Still, they stay informational. So they don't replace advice built around your situation.
Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you can form a binding contract with Calcavio. You also must not be barred under any applicable law. On top of that, you must be at least [13, 16, or 18] years old. Are you under the age of majority where you live? Then use Calcavio only with a parent or legal guardian involved.
Sometimes people use the Service for an employer. So if you accept these terms of service for a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it. In that case, "you" means that organization.
Calcavio Is Educational - Not Professional Advice
Please read this section closely, because it matters most. Calcavio's calculators and content exist for general education only. They produce estimates from the inputs you type and standard formulas. So results may not match your full financial, tax, health, or personal picture. And small input changes can move an outcome a lot.
Because of that, you verify any result before you rely on it. You also own every decision you make. Calcavio never recommends a specific product, lender, insurer, investment, or medical action. And nothing here creates a professional-client relationship.
Acceptable Use
Use the Service lawfully and with respect. Under this acceptable use policy, you can view, use, and share our calculators and content for personal, non-commercial reasons. You can also link to our pages.
But you agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Service, unless our robots file allows it or we give written permission.
- Copy, resell, rent, or republish our calculators, code, or content as your own.
- Reverse engineer or extract the formulas behind the calculators, except where the law allows it.
- Add malware, break in, or overload the Service or its servers.
- Run automated tools that strain the site or dodge our security limits.
- Break any law, harm anyone's rights, or act fraudulently.
- Remove or hide any copyright, trademark, or ownership notice.
And if we believe you broke these rules, we may act. For example, we may remove content or restrict your access.
Accounts and Communications
Most of Calcavio works with no account at all. Still, we may offer an account or newsletter. If you sign up, you agree to give accurate details. You also keep your credentials safe and own the activity under your account. So tell us fast if you spot unauthorized use.
Did you subscribe to emails? Then you agree we can send the messages you asked for. But you can unsubscribe anytime through the link in each email. For the full picture, our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Intellectual Property Rights
We own the Service and everything in it. That includes the calculators, the code and formulas as built, text, articles, graphics, logos, the "Calcavio" name, the tagline, page layouts, and design. Copyright, trademark, and other laws protect all of it.
So we give you a limited license. It's personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable. It lets you use the Service the way these terms of service allow. But it transfers no ownership to you. And it never permits commercial use or redistribution without our written consent.
Do you think our content infringes your copyright? Then send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Please add the details that 17 U.S.C. Β§ 512(c)(3) requires.
Your Feedback and Submissions
We welcome your feedback, suggestions, and ideas. Send us any, and you give Calcavio a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use them. We can also build them into the Service, with no payment to you. But please skip confidential information, because we can't treat feedback as secret. And you confirm you have the right to share whatever you send.
Third-Party Links, Advertising, and Services
The Service may show ads, for example through Google AdSense. It may also link to third-party sites, tools, and resources. We add these for convenience only. So we don't control or endorse third-party content, products, or privacy practices. As a result, any dealings with a third party stay between you and them.
Ads also help keep Calcavio free. Each ad follows the ad network's own policies. And if a page ever holds an affiliate or sponsored link, we'll disclose it. That keeps us in line with advertising and consumer-protection rules.
Accuracy, Availability, and "As Is" Disclaimer
We try hard to keep our formulas right and our data current. Even so, we can't promise every result, figure, or statement is accurate or complete. After all, laws, rates, and tax constants change. And errors do happen.
So, to the fullest extent the law allows, we provide the Service "as is" and "as available." That means no warranties of any kind, express or implied. It also excludes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will run uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Some regions limit these exclusions, though. So parts of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
Here's the limit, to the fullest extent the law allows. Calcavio, its owners, team, and licensors won't cover indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. That also excludes lost profits, savings, data, or goodwill from your use of the Service. And it holds even if we knew such damages were possible.
Sometimes the law won't allow a full exclusion. In that case, our total liability stays capped. It equals the greater of what you paid us (usually zero, since the Service is free). Again, some regions limit these caps, so some may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to protect Calcavio, its owners, team, and licensors. So you'll cover any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees. This applies when they arise from your use of the Service. It also applies if you break these terms of service, break the law, or harm a third party's rights.
Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may add, change, pause, or remove parts of the Service anytime. We do this to improve it or for legal, technical, or business reasons. We may also update these terms and conditions now and then. When we do, we'll change the Last updated date at the top. Plus, we may flag major changes on the site. So if you keep using the Service afterward, you accept the new Terms. And if you don't agree, please stop using it.
Termination
These Terms of Service apply the whole time you use the Service. But we may pause or end your access anytime, without notice. We'd do that if we believe you broke these Terms or created real risk. Meanwhile, you can stop using the Service whenever you want. Some parts still survive after termination. For instance, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, and governing law all continue.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
The laws of govern these Terms and any related dispute. That applies without its conflict-of-law rules. So you agree the courts in hold exclusive jurisdiction. That's unless a binding arbitration or informal process applies instead. First, though, please contact us. We'd like to solve the issue informally before any formal step.
Miscellaneous
Together with the policies we reference, these Terms of Service form the entire agreement about the Service. So if a court voids one part, the rest still stands. And that part shrinks only as much as needed. Also, if we don't enforce a right once, we don't waive it. You can't assign these Terms without our consent. But we can assign them during a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. Finally, these Terms create no third-party rights. And we're not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
Contact Us
